CCOA was created as a 501c(3) community service agency in April 1995 by community leaders who wanted to help individuals and families in Northwest Arkansas better manage their finances and solve debt problems through free education, and free credit and housing counseling. Last year, we presented 851 free financial literacy seminars reaching 29,250 people, and conducted 3900 individual counseling sessions.
